Mackenzie is the Global Startup Evangelist at AWS. His days are spent traveling the globe to meet startups, share their stories, and connect engineering teams together. Every day there are a large number of startups launching on AWS across every imaginable industry. It’s Mackenzie’s mission to find stories of startups that are helping to improve the world and share these stories with a wide audience.

 

Prior to joining AWS, Mackenzie was the Head of Technical Operations at Betterment, the world’s largest independent robo-advisor based in NYC which manages over $8B in assets. Mackenzie was a founding engineer and Head of Technical Operations at Oscar Health, an insurance startup also based in NYC, helping to grow the company to over 400+ employees.

Jump start re:Invent week by joining us for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public Sector Partner Forum in Las Vegas. Attend our networking lunch where you’ll have the opportunity to connect with our AWS Public Sector Partner team and your peers. Jeff Kratz, Vice President, Worldwide Public Sector Channels and Alliances, AWS, will kick off our session by sharing valuable insights and our vision for the year ahead followed by a series of lightning talks, led by our AWS Public Sector Partner experts on topics including:

Jeff leads the AWS global partner community serving government, national security, education, aerospace/satellite, non-profit, and public health industries, as well as advises leaders and executives on the use of cloud technologies.  He spearheaded the creation of the Latin America, Canada, and Caribbean Public Sector Field Sales organization which is now one of the fastest and highest growth businesses at AWS.  His current responsibilities build on a career of exponentially growing international commercial and public sector businesses successfully.  In his current role, Jeff guides the creation, evolution and execution of the partner sales business to amplify AWS cloud adoption and partner innovation, launching mission critical cloud solutions globally.
